No, not Morris Day and The Time, but keeping your technology systems up with the times.
Generally speaking, technology has refresh cycles so you can budget for these upgrades and not get stuck in an emergency when that old system suddenly decides to take a crap at the absolute worst time.
Wifi and network systems should be considered for upgrades every five to six years. Business Center and front desk PCs should be considered for upgrade every three to five years.
Not going by these guidelines can leave you in a lurch when they fail – and they will fail. Not only does it cause an emergency, but now you are going to pay through the nose for emergency service and that is IF the parts are available at the time of the emergency. Supply chains are not our friends lately on parts availability.
So work with your technology provider so they can get with you this year about next years upgrades so it can be put in the budget!
